What we do
Help for caregivers, in days instead of months
Fluttering Wings helps family members who are caring for a loved one with a life-threatening illness get quick access to a mental health counselor, at no cost to them.
Who we help
Family caregivers of someone with a life-threatening illness, including loved ones in palliative or hospice care. We're starting in Western New York and Rochester, New York.
How it works
We're a new 501(c)(3) and we're building our first program now. Our goal is simple: when a caregiver needs to talk to someone, they shouldn't wait months. We find them a licensed counselor quickly and help cover the cost of their appointments.
Where the money goes
Donations fund the foundation's operating costs and directly help cover the cost of caregivers' appointments with mental health providers.
Are you a counselor, nurse or social worker?
If you see caregivers who are struggling, or you can see a caregiver quickly, we'd like to hear from you. Get in touch.
Need help right now?
If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), any time, day or night. In an emergency, call 911.
Fluttering Wings doesn't provide medical or mental health care ourselves. We connect caregivers with licensed professionals.
